NHS care boards in Surrey have merged
NHS care boards have changed so that all of Surrey is now covered by one integrated care board.
NHS England set out plans in September 2025 to merge and change integrated care board boundaries. Some of these changes took effect from April 2026.
In Surrey, Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board has merged with Sussex Integrated Care Board. Together, they now form NHS Surrey and Sussex Integrated Care Board.
Since 1 April 2026, the whole of Surrey is covered by this single board. Before this date, most of Surrey was part of Surrey Heartlands, while areas such as Surrey Heath, Ash and Farnham were part of NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board.
