Emergency alert test: 7 Sept

A UK-wide emergency alert test will take place on 7 September 2025 at 3pm.

A loud siren will sound on all phones, even if they are on silent. This may put people at risk, especially survivors of domestic abuse using a hidden or emergency phone.

To stay safe:

  • switch off or use airplane mode on hidden devices
  • share this message with anyone who may be at risk
  • safeguarding professionals should inform clients in advance
