Dementia checks for learning disabilities

The Community Teams for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD) offer free dementia checks for people with Down’s syndrome aged 30 and over.

These checks help understand how someone is doing now. If there are concerns in the future, the results can be compared. This helps doctors spot signs of dementia earlier and more clearly.

You can be referred by a GP, a carer, or you can refer yourself. Just ask your local CTPLD for a referral form.
