Horsley, Bookham and Leatherhead Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA)

Horsley, Bookham and Leatherhead RDA runs horse riding sessions for disabled children and adults.

Trained teachers and volunteers support each rider. You can learn at your own pace.

Sessions may include:

• learning how to ride
• gentle riding exercises
• games on a pony
• short rides around the site when the weather is good

Riding may help you:

• practise balance and control
• build muscle strength
• improve your posture
• build your confidence
• meet other people

The ponies are checked to make sure they are calm and right for the riders.

Sessions run during term time. Some sessions are for schools or groups. Other sessions are for one rider.

The service also offers Tea with a Pony for people who cannot ride. A carer or guardian must attend.
