Bereavement contact details for banks and service providers

Valoren

Valoren provides a free online directory of organisations you may need to contact after someone dies.

The directory explains who to tell, how to contact them and what information or documents they may ask for.

It includes bereavement contact routes for:

  • banks and building societies
  • insurance companies
  • energy and water companies
  • phone and internet providers
  • some pension providers
  • digital and online accounts
  • postal, credit and licensing services

The directory also explains how Tell Us Once can notify many government organisations and how the Death Notification Service can notify participating banks and building societies.

Neither service contacts every organisation. You may still need to tell some banks, insurers, utility companies, phone providers and pension schemes yourself.

You do not need an account to use the directory.

Valoren does not act for the organisations listed. Contact routes and phone numbers can change. Check the organisation's own website before sending personal information or documents.
