Stop Loan Sharks is a service you can use to report illegal money lenders. It prosecutes illegal lenders and provides support to borrowers in England.

If you have borrowed from a loan shark or are worried about someone else, they can help and keep you safe. Their specially trained staff provides emotional and practical support.

You can use their service if:

• you think you are paying money to a loan shark
• you suspect someone else you know is paying money to a loan shark

When using their service, you can remain anonymous if you prefer.

Once you've submitted an enquiry they will then:

• check the lender out
• talk to you about your concerns
• let you know steps you can take to protect yourself or someone else

You can call them 24 hours a day 7 days a week or you can use their online Live Chat service, which is available Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm. If you are deaf or hard of hearing they can provide a BSL interpreter.
