Surrey Wildlife Trust runs practical volunteer groups. Volunteers help look after wild places in Surrey. Volunteer days usually run from 10am to late afternoon.
On a volunteer day, you might:
- clear scrub
- coppice trees
- remove invasive plants
- create habitats
- build or fix fences
They provide:
- tools
- safety equipment
- breaks and refreshments
You need to bring:
- sturdy boots
- clothes for the weather
- a packed lunch
Most sessions run on weekdays, with some Sundays, from September to February. Locations change across Surrey.
