Memory Lane at Home from Age UK Surrey
Age UK Surrey
Memory Lane at Home is a dementia and memory support service from Age UK Surrey. It gives people support at home and gives family carers a break.
Home Support Workers can help people:
- enjoy company at home
- go out to local places
- keep doing hobbies
- stay linked to their community
- take part in memory games, puzzles, reading or creative activities
- share life stories and look through photos
- have light snacks and drinks
Support can include trips to places such as:
- cafes
- shops
- garden centres
- libraries
- parks
- clubs or social groups
You need to register before visits can start. A service coordinator will visit your home first to learn about your needs, routines, interests and safety needs.
Most people book regular weekly visits. One-off visits may also be possible after registration, if staff are available.
Visits must be at least 2 hours.
This is a social support service. It does not offer personal care, such as help with medicine, bathing or toileting.
There is a one-off registration fee. Visits are charged by the hour. Other costs may apply for mileage, admission fees or trips out.
You can register by phone or email.
