Silver Line Telephone Friendship Service

The Telephone Friendship Service provides friendship, conversation and support. It is for people aged 60 and over. You don't need to be feeling lonely, and you don’t need to live on your own. The service matches you with a friendly volunteer for a weekly chat.

The trained helpline team can:

• give you information, friendship and advice
• help you find local groups and services
• offer regular friendship calls
• protect and support older people who may be at risk of abuse or neglect
