Day centres, run by the local district or borough councils, often run activities and lunch clubs. They are great places to meet old and new friends. Some can also provide a mini-bus to pick you up and take you home.  If you need transport to go to day centres, or to get out and see friends, look through the community transport organisations, which include Hoppa, Buses4U and Dial-a-ride.

Look through these day centres to find one near you or contact your local borough or district council:

There are also day centres and support groups for people with a learning disability or physical disability.
