Ashford TALK - Stroke and Aphasia

Ashford TALK supports people with aphasia after stroke or brain injury. The group meets every Wednesday morning at The Salvation Army in Ashford.

Volunteers run the session and cover things like reading, writing, listening and creativity.

Sessions aim to build confidence and provide a chance to socialise. They may include:

• quizzes
• worksheets
• music
• crafts
• games
• using numbers, money and dates

Volunteers plan the sessions, but members can offer ideas. Each member is supported by a volunteer.
