InterAct Stroke Support

InterAct at Home is a free reading service for stroke survivors. A trained actor reads to you by phone or video call.

The service can help stroke survivors:

  • enjoy stories and poems
  • have friendly company
  • feel less lonely
  • practise language skills
  • support memory
  • use imagination
  • build confidence at home

Actors are trained to understand the effects of stroke. They offer a calm and personal service that suits each person.

Sessions last up to 30 minutes. Group sessions can last up to 60 minutes.

The service is free. More than one session a week may have a small charge.
