OPAL (Older People Actively Living) at the Greeno Centre

OPAL is a day group for older people who need extra support. It is for people with:
- memory loss
- higher needs dementia
- health problems
- disabilities
- mobility problems
- sight or hearing problems
The group helps people meet others, stay active and enjoy their day. It also gives carers time for a break.
Activities include:
- quizzes and games
- arts and crafts
- gentle exercise
- singing
- entertainment
- day trips
A hot or cold two-course lunch is provided, along with snacks and drinks during the day.
Transport by minibus is available for people who live in Spelthorne.
OPAL is a referral service. The centre can take 25 people a day and is staffed by 6 support workers. There is a daily charge to attend the group. People can be self-funded or funded through an Adult Social Care package.
Time
Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm
